Learn more at www.amg-eng.com Senior Electrical Engineer/PE As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be a key member of our Electrical & Instrumentation Department, collaborating with cross-disciplinary engineers, project managers, designers, and administrative staff. You’ll help bring ideas to life by developing electrical designs and drawings for a wide variety of industrial facilities, processing plants and other unique projects. You’ll act as a mentor for junior engineers and review drawings for accuracy and feasibility. This position has the opportunity to grow into a leadership role within AMG.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Solid understanding of power distribution systems, MCCs, cable sizing, power correction, variable frequency drives, transformers, switchgear, and lighting design
- Familiarity with single-line diagrams and P&IDs
- At least 5 years of electrical design experience, ideally in industrial processing environments
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT
Nice To Haves
- Professional Engineering license is highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Navisworks preferred
- Experience using ETAP, SKM or EasyPower preferred
Responsibilities
- Designing electrical systems including power distribution, control systems, and lighting for industrial environments
- Developing single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, cable schedules, and layout drawings
- Collaborating with other disciplines to ensure project success
- Participating in field work as needed, including site visits and field verifications on occasion
