DLR Group has an opening for an Electrical Engineer with a focused skillset on data center projects. Position Summary The Electrical Engineer for Mission Critical Projects is responsible for the design, coordination, and implementation of electrical systems for high-performance, technically complex facilities such as data centers, laboratories, clean rooms, and critical infrastructure environments. This role involves collaborating closely with multi-disciplinary teams to develop innovative, efficient electrical building systems and preparing detailed electrical engineering drawings and calculations. The successful candidate will Collaborate with architects, other engineers, and clients as part of our integrated design process. Create and coordinate documents using Revit. Develop electrical designs from concept through completion of construction. Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts. Write and review specifications. Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives. Review shop drawings, RFIs and submittals. Conduct site visits when needed. Manage electrical project teams and/or interdisciplinary project teams.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
10+ years of experience in a MEP or integrated design firm working on Electrical projects designing power and lighting building systems on complex projects.
5+ years of experience of design experience related to data centers.
Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer designing power and lighting building systems on complex projects.
Working knowledge of the design and construction process and the ability to understand and communicate with professionals of other disciplines.
Experience with BIM (e.g. Autodesk Revit MEP) work flow.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Licensed Professional Engineer.
LEED Accredited Professional and previous experience participating in the LEED or other green rating system process.
Experience and interest in sustainable building design.
