Senior Electrical Engineer

Pyka is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team and contribute to various hardware projects. Develop complex electrical subsystems involving FPGA, power, analog, and sensor integrations

Complete the entire PCBA design cycle including

• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and testing microprocessor based circuitry and interfaces to various peripherals; experience with (low to medium speed) FPGA is a plus
• Experience designing power electronics systems such as DC-DC converters, BMSs, and motor controllers
• Experience designing safety critical systems, considering system redundancy as well as failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA)
• Proficiency in completing the entire PCBA design cycle including architecture selection, component selection, schematic design, PCB layout, and working with manufacturers
• Ability to develop complex electrical subsystems involving FPGA, power, analog, and sensor integrations
• Strong knowledge of testing and validating subsystems to meet performance and reliability requirements
• Experience working with cross-functional teams on aircraft integration and system level testing
• Willingness to occasionally travel to customer sites to support new aircraft deployments or EE subsystem debugging
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write design and testing documents

• $135,000–175,000 per year base salary + equity
