About The Position

TTM is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead the research, development, design, and test of hardware/firmware components, equipment and systems. Provides analysis related to the design, development and implementation. This role is within the Aerospace & Defense Sector, focusing on cutting-edge radar, surveillance, and communication systems. The engineer will be responsible for generating hardware and firmware requirements, developing designs, creating test plans, defining interfaces, and supporting system validation. This position involves customer and vendor interactions, providing resource utilization estimates, participating in peer reviews, and mentoring junior engineers. The role also requires presenting at PDR, CDR, and TIMs, generating schedule inputs, and managing hardware integration and testing, including firmware implementation, all while adhering to budget and schedule constraints. The engineer will utilize computer-assisted engineering tools and prepare status reports. A key responsibility includes implementing high-speed Digital Signal Processing (DSP) functions in an FPGA.

Requirements

  • Experience 7+ years
  • Firmware – High Speed FW Design (300 Mhz)
  • Firmware – Digital Filters
  • Firmware – FFT
  • Board – High Speed Design
  • Board – XILINX – RFSOC and MPOSC
  • Board – DDR5 memory
  • Board – Point of load power distribution
  • Integration and Test – Board – Ability to debug complex HW at board and box level.
  • Integration and Test – FW – Ability to debug complex FW and verify against a system model.
  • Tools – Matlab modeling for Firmware design
  • Tools – XILINX Simulink for Firmware design
  • Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when necessary for work on a project that requires such a clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Firmware – RADAR Signal Processing – desired.
