About The Position

Yaskawa is searching for a Senior Manager, Environmental Health & Safety to lead, manage and provide improvement strategies for all EHS activities at YAI and its subsidiaries. This role will optimize the performance of EHS initiatives, identify, manage, direct, and audit the systems required to limit all forms of risk leading to environmental mishaps, compliance violations, job-related injury or illness, property damage, and bad public relations. Along with creating and expanding an EHS strategy that when executed will drive site locations in becoming environmentally sustainable enterprise. Develop and implement location specific EHS policies, procedures, and programs. Ensure compliance related activities such as environmental permit requirements, EHS training, Ergonomic programs, are robust and maintained. This role also involves setting strategy, managing all key components of risk, communications at all levels, using metrics and program results to adjust efforts and work for continuous improvement of YAI's EHS levels.

Requirements

  • 5 years or more in safety field with 2 or more years oversight of total safety management program for mid-size manufacturer
  • BA/BS
  • Experience in a light assembly production environment
  • Experience in managing and administrating a comprehensive industrial safety program, loss control, workers' compensation insurance, Environmental and OSHA regulations
  • Experience in implementing Ergonomic programs
  • Experience in training work forces
  • Experience in developing training programs, especially on-line with user interaction, change management, and feedback
