About The Position

As a Senior EHR Project Manager, Acute Facility Deployments at Community Health Systems (CHS) – Shared Business Operations, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our purpose to help people get well and live healthier by providing safe, quality healthcare, building enduring relationships with our patients, and providing value for the people and communities we serve. This role independently manages multiple projects involving Oracle Health EHR, information systems, and database management. This role requires experience with multi-facility design, planning, execution, and oversight of complex initiatives. The Senior EHR Project Manager, Acute Facility Deployments will be responsible for the technical aspects of project management and will coordinate with departmental and cross-functional teams to deliver expert-level customer support. They must possess comprehensive knowledge of all phases of the EHR system, deployments, and ongoing support. The ideal candidate is confident in leading projects, managing vendor resources, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery. Strong communication skills and adherence to corporate and departmental policies are essential. This is a fully remote opportunity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field required
  • 5-7 years of experience managing projects, preferably in a technology, digital, or enterprise setting required
  • Experience managing high-budget projects and leading vendor partnerships required
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI or obtained within six (6) months of employment required

Nice To Haves

  • At least 5 years of experience with Acute Facility EHR Implementation highly preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience with SmartSheet preferred.
  • Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project)
  • Advanced project leadership skills with the ability to lead large-scale, high-visibility, or mission-critical initiatives across business and technical domains.
  • Demonstrated experience navigating matrixed organizations and aligning cross-functional teams toward shared goals.
  • Expert-level understanding of project lifecycles, delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid), and PMO governance standards.
  • Proven ability to lead vendor engagements, manage complex scopes, and ensure successful delivery across internal and external partners.
  • Executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to deliver strategic presentations and status updates to senior leadership.
  • Deep experience managing project financials, including complex budgeting, forecasting, and contract alignment.
  • Proficiency in project and collaboration tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Asana).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate efforts among multiple stakeholders, including hospital executives, physicians, local medical staff (nurses and technicians), local technical resources (systems analysts and programmers), and vendor support teams.
  • Ensure projects are executed with precision by applying strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through to drive tasks, deliverables, and milestones to completion.
  • Develop and maintain project management tools and documentation to ensure comprehensive planning, execution, and tracking of all project activities, from business requirements through project completion.
  • Manage large-scale or mission-critical projects with complex scope and high visibility.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, executive updates, and vendor relationships.
  • Own project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and contract alignment.
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks across work streams and resource groups.
  • Deliver clear and compelling executive presentations and dashboards.
  • Collaborate closely with enterprise PMO teams to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Mentor junior project team members and promote best practices.
  • Support vendor management and contract alignment in accordance with project needs.
  • Promote consistency by applying PMO standards, templates, and methodologies.
  • Champion adoption and change management efforts across the business.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
