About The Position

QinetiQ US is seeking a Writer / Strategic Communications Cell Member with extensive experience in Space Acquisition technical writing. The role supports the development, advancement, and sustainment of weapon systems for the U.S. Space Force (USSF) and its mission partners. The successful candidate will work closely with technical teams, stakeholders, and partners and will be knowledgeable about Department of War (DoW), Air Force, and Space Acquisition security and policy reviews, Communications Messaging Guidance (CMG), and SSC Public Affairs.

Requirements

12 years of experience in technical writing translating specialized data for laypersons, such as experience as a professional writer or editor, published author, or technical writer.
TS/SCI clearance required.
Knowledge of DoW, Air Force, and USSF SSC security and policy reviews.
Deep familiarity with Communications Messaging Guidance (CMG) documents.

Nice To Haves

Experience interfacing with Government Public Affairs; SSC Public Affairs experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Research, draft, and edit articles, speeches, and testimony on the organization, mission, operations, and initiatives.
Gather, develop, and check the accuracy of information from a wide range of sources, including Acquisition Deltas and staff organizations.
Analyze and recommend pertinent information and coordinate with the Government to ensure consistency of messages.
Assist in determining the overall organization of presentations and edit information for clarity and accuracy.
Conduct additional research and provide recommendations on submissions from other staff activities to organize, balance, and apply a consistent sense of style, grammar, and flow.
Prepare and arrange graphics to support presentations.
