About The Position

Join AV’s Electronic Warfare business unit in Sunrise, FL, where advanced engineering meets mission-critical technology. As a Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing sophisticated signal processing solutions for next-generation electronic warfare, communications, and sensing systems. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of relevant DSP and/or communications engineering; or Master’s Degree and 6+ years’ experience; or a PhD with 3+ years’ experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in advanced digital signal processing algorithms.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communications theory.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in programming languages, preferably C or C++.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
  • Software-defined radios (SDR)

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement complex digital signal processing systems for communication and sensing platforms.
  • Develop and implement sophisticated DSP algorithms and translate system concepts into robust, high-performance solutions.
  • Prepare complete project design documentation, including requirements, specifications, test plans, and reports.
  • Design and conduct experiments; analyze and interpret data to validate system and component performance.
  • Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of engineering work to ensure technical quality and schedule adherence.
  • Prepare scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for assigned projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals to obtain funding for engineering projects and programs.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams across software, hardware, systems, and integration functions.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and technical solutions that advance products, capabilities, and mission performance.
