About The Position

The Senior Domain Data Steward serves as the primary domain authority and cross-functional connector across an assigned USDI, such as Client & Household, Account, Portfolio & Performance, Advisor, Alternative Products, or Reference Data. Working with Data Product Managers, IT and Engineering teams, and Business Domain Owners, the role owns the end-to-end health, usability, and trust of wealth data assets. It bridges business intent and technical delivery to ensure data across operational wealth engines and analytical environments is trusted, high-quality, regulatory-defensible, and structurally aligned to support business operations, advisor tools, and executive analytics. The role partners on domain roadmaps and data product backlogs; defines domain-specific quality standards, validation rules, and acceptance criteria; promotes business adoption of certified data products and self-service analytics; and independently profiles data using SQL and observability tools. It leads cross-functional investigation and resolution of data defects, validates data flows across wealth platforms and analytical environments, helps operationalize privacy and access controls, and ensures data is complete, traceable, and compliant with regulatory mandates. Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position. Vanguard describes a hybrid working model for the majority of its crew members, intended to combine flexibility with in-person learning, collaboration, and connection.
