The Philadelphia district includes key markets in the states of Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, and Washington, DC. This role will make an impact by developing, enhancing, and increasing regional sales performance to meet or exceed annual Company sales and market share objectives. It ensures corporate sales and marketing direction is fully executed within a geographic area and implements the regional strategy and/or a district sales strategy (or business plan) to be executed through the team. The role involves developing and maintaining solid customer relationships with key executives, decision influencers, and decision makers, responding to customer needs in a timely and professional manner, conducting account reviews for key customers, monitoring product usage, and updating contract information. It also involves providing regular, candid, and timely feedback to sales representatives, identifying and addressing performance challenges, and working closely with sales directors and HR on disciplinary actions. The role requires analyzing and evaluating team performance, sales figures, and territory data, tracking sales force effectiveness measures, and recruiting and retaining top talent. It also involves applying appropriate coaching styles, counseling and coaching direct reports for performance and professional development, and ensuring compliance with all Company policies and procedures. The Senior District Manager must demonstrate high ethical and professional standards, communicate candidly with supervisors and direct reports, foster an open communication environment, and serve as a focal point for "Best Practices" exchange. They will act as a communication liaison with the home office and region, proactively identifying and resolving issues, assessing organizational change management needs, and creating a high-performance team environment. The role requires eliminating barriers, fostering a solution-oriented winning vision, exhibiting a strategic view with a focus on immediate results, and exercising fiscal control on operating budgets. The Senior District Manager will take direction from the Regional Director regarding marketing, standards, etc., and ensure it is cascaded and followed within sales representative teams.
