Senior Distribution Center Manager

REP FitnessCarlisle, PA
$125,000 - $150,000Onsite

About The Position

REP Fitness is scaling fast and needs a Senior Distribution Center Manager to lead its site through its next chapter of growth. This role requires someone who has experience managing a volume inflection, building a supervisory team, and operating a distribution center with autonomy. The Senior Distribution Center Manager will have full ownership of the site, including people, operations, budget, safety, and systems, reporting directly to the Director of Distribution. The expectation is to develop into a director-level role within 18 months as REP continues to expand. The position is based in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and requires a five-day-a-week in-office presence.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated track record of managing a DC through a significant volume of inflection - freight growth, facility expansion, or peak season scaling at a meaningful scale.
  • Full budget ownership experience - built, defended, and delivered an annual operating budget for a DC or warehouse.
  • Proficiency with a WMS platform at an operational ownership level; RF-SMART or comparable NetSuite-integrated WMS strongly preferred.
  • Strong data skills - able to pull, interpret, and act on operational metrics using NetSuite, Excel, or equivalent tools.
  • OSHA compliance and safety program ownership experience; has led a site through an incident investigation or safety culture improvement initiative.
  • Background in direct-to-consumer or e-commerce fulfillment at $100M+ revenue scale; high-SKU-count environments (home gym, sporting goods, or similar a plus).
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Operations Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience required.
  • 8–12 years of experience in distribution center or warehouse operations, with 3–5+ years in a single-site management role with full P&L ownership.
  • Experience managing a full supervisory layer — not just associates; has hired, developed, and held accountable Supervisors and Leads.
  • Experience managing across two or more DC locations simultaneously, or transitioning between sites in a multi-DC network.
  • Experience contributing to or leading a WMS implementation, DC expansion, or network standardization initiative.
  • NetSuite ERP experience in a distribution or fulfillment context.
  • Experience with RF scanning hardware, Zebra label printers, and physical DC infrastructure at a configuration level.

Nice To Haves

  • Lean / Six Sigma certification preferred (Green Belt minimum; Black Belt a strong plus).
  • Relevant WMS or ERP platform certifications (NetSuite, RF-SMART) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own full day-to-day operations: inbound receiving, put-a-way, pick, pack, ship, returns, and inventory control — delivering site KPIs on throughput per labor hour, pick accuracy, ship accuracy, on-time fulfillment, and inbound cycle time.
  • Manage the full site P&L — build the annual operating budget, defend it, and deliver against it; labor cost, equipment, supplies, and overhead are all yours.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and a measurable safety culture — incidents are tracked, root-caused, and closed, not filed; lead the site safety committee and hold the standard.
  • Own facility maintenance, equipment upkeep, and vendor relationships for the site.
  • Set shift structure, staffing plans, and labor allocation to match daily volume — proactively, not reactively.
  • Build and maintain site SOPs, workflows, and operational documentation in partnership with the Ops Excellence Manager; keep them current as methods evolve.
  • Lead, develop, and hold accountable a team of Supervisors, Leads, and Associates — running a structured performance management cadence of 1-on-1s, reviews, performance improvement, and recognition.
  • Build a lead and supervisor bench that can grow into your current role as REP adds facilities — the goal is that the people you develop are ready before you need them.
  • Champion REP's EE Incentive Program — recognize and reward top performance, drive positive reinforcement, and make effort visible on the floor.
  • Own hiring, onboarding, and retention for the site; partner with the Director to build headcount plans that match volume forecasts before the volume arrives.
  • Serve as the primary culture carrier for the site — employee engagement, retention, and energy on the floor are your metrics, not HR's.
  • Create the conditions for people to surface problems, propose solutions, and take ownership of their functional area; leads succeed when you give them room to lead.
  • Partner with the Ops Excellence Manager and Director of Distribution to build, maintain, and execute against network-wide DC SOPs and the REP Warehouse Playbook.
  • Identify and close gaps between your site's current performance and network standards — own the gap-closure plan, not just the acknowledgment of the gap.
  • Lead capacity planning for volume surges, peak seasons, and new product category launches — headcount, layout, and equipment decisions made ahead of need, not in reaction.
  • Contribute to multi-DC standardization initiatives; when REP opens a new facility, you're one of the people standing it up.
  • Represent the site operationally when scoping new technology, layout changes, or fulfillment strategy shifts.
  • Track and present site performance data to Director-level leadership on a regular cadence — throughput, cost per unit, accuracy, and safety metrics.
  • Operate fluently in RF-SMART WMS and RF Ship / Pace jet TMS — understanding transaction flows, configuration logic, and how system behavior drives floor outcomes.
  • Serve as the site-level implementation owner for WMS/TMS system changes; partner with the Ops Excellence Manager on optimization projects.
  • Use NetSuite reporting and operational data to manage the business in real time — not just review it, but act on it.
  • Identify technology gaps at the site level and bring requirements to IT and supply chain leadership with context and urgency.
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for Customer Service, Finance, and Supply Chain for your site — escalation-ready, proactive, and solution-oriented.
