About The Position

Pediatrics Plus is a specialized pediatric healthcare provider committed to helping children succeed through evidence-based therapy and education, diagnostic services, state-of-the-art facilities, specialized equipment, family support, and community investment. The Senior Director provides strategic leadership to the developmental preschool program, therapy, and ABA programs at the site. This role is responsible for building the Pediatrics Plus culture and ensuring excellence in service. The Senior Director oversees all aspects of site operations, including preschool and therapy enrollment, team leadership, management of systems and processes, compliance with state-mandated guidelines, revenue/expenses, and health and safety.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of various funding source guidelines.

  • Must be able to work with children birth to age 21 and families who are at risk.
  • Ability to function independently in all aspects, including project identification, evaluation, contract negotiations, and coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment.
  • Basic computer skills (keyboarding, database, word processing, spreadsheet, and Internet software).
  • Ability to represent the company in a confident, persuasive, and positive manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under stress and respond quickly in emergency situations.
  • In-depth knowledge of operational, clinical and referral development systems.

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or therapy related field.
  • 3+ years of successful experience in a classroom setting working with developmentally at-risk children and/or broad clinical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and ensure the Pediatrics Plus culture is reinforced in all decision-making for the site.
  • Lead daily huddles of team for priority setting, obstacle identification, and support of team members.
  • Lead site retention efforts to retain quality team members.
  • Oversee the direction of the preschool program and therapy/ABA operations, focusing on therapeutic/developmental aspects, a collaborative environment, and family engagement.
  • Oversee all aspects of staff management, including hiring, terminations, corrective actions, performance reviews, position placements, promotions, and training, ensuring necessary approvals.
  • Oversee all annual themes, ensuring they are actively promoted and reinforced.
  • Ensure compliance with Arkansas Childcare Licensing, AR Medicaid EIDT, governing agencies, audits, and other compliance requests.
  • Provide oversight and leadership to staff management to promote leadership growth and site development, including regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports (Director of Therapy Services, Director of Preschool Services, Director of ABA Services, Administrative Team Lead, Nurse).
  • Provide oversight and compliance with all aspects of the preschool and therapy budget, including revenue, expenses, and payroll within site projections.
  • Oversee developmental preschool enrollment and therapy caseload management.
  • Make decisions and oversee the discharge process for children attending the preschool and/or therapy.
  • Maintain quality assurance through provided measures.
  • Ensure all human resource functions (payroll, time-off requests, worker’s compensation, leaves of absences, and paperwork) are completed accurately and timely, maintaining communication with the Human Resources Department.
  • Oversee and handle site-related people issues, including coaching, written warnings, development plans, and terminations with leadership approval.
  • Attend and represent the site in designated organizational, leadership, and clinical program line meetings.
  • Assist with marketing events, doctor visits, and other marketing avenues as needed.
  • Handle parent complaints or concerns and escalate if warranted.
  • Ensure completion of site metrics to understand current status and identify needs to meet targets.
  • Attend local business functions and build working relationships with local businesses, influencers, mom/parent groups, churches, and chambers.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the local Lead program and its impact at the site level, serving as a representative at meetings.
  • Participate in one-on-one meetings with leader.
