As Senior Director, Workforce Optimization, you will lead the enterprise strategy, governance, and performance of GXO’s contingent labor program—optimizing Managed Service Provers (MSP)/Vendor Management System (VMS) operations, vendor partnerships, forecasting and demand planning, and site‑level execution to ensure the right talent, at the right time, delivered safely, compliantly, and cost‑effectively across a multi‑site logistics network.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field; or equivalent work/military experience.
  • 7 years leading contingent workforce/workforce management programs across multi‑site operations.
  • Direct experience with MSP/VMS ecosystems, vendor management, and contract/SLA oversight.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry experience in logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or broader supply chain.
  • Master’s degree (MBA or advanced HR/Operations discipline).
  • Certifications such as SHRM‑CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR; CCWP; Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt).
  • Proven stewardship of large labor spend portfolios and advanced workforce analytics expertise.
  • Deep knowledge of co‑employment risk, labor regulations, and vendor negotiation strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Set enterprise contingent workforce strategy and governance, including policies, KPIs, and compliance controls.
  • Lead forecasting and demand planning; align with Operations, HR, Finance, and Procurement on labor needs.
  • Manage MSP/VMS and staffing providers—contracts, rates, SLAs, and performance scorecards.
  • Drive analytics and executive reporting to improve fill rates, talent quality, cost, and cycle times.
  • Ensure program execution and issue resolution across sites; uphold safety and regulatory standards.
  • Build and develop a high‑performing team of program, vendor, and analytics leaders.
