About The Position

The Vonjo Core Asset Team (CAT) Lead is a senior cross-functional lead accountable for defining and executing the global strategy for Sobi's Vonjo portfolio, including its established myelofibrosis indication and pipeline expansion opportunities. This includes label expansion in myelofibrosis, development of a new indication and global program for VEXAS, lifecycle management (LCM), regulatory and commercial readiness, and long-term value maximization across key global markets — with the U.S. as the lead focus. The role orchestrates an integrated strategy and execution plan to ensure successful development, approval, geographic expansion, and sustained global growth of Sobi's Vonjo asset. Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (science background strongly preferred).
  • 10+ years in global biopharma leadership, ideally in hematology and/or rheumatology.
  • Proven track record in lifecycle management, global asset strategy, and launch leadership.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with disciplined execution and sound business judgment.
  • Skilled communicator and influencer across senior levels.
  • Culturally agile, with experience across U.S., Europe, Middle East, LATAM, and other international business environments.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the global asset strategy for Vonjo, aligned with corporate priorities, spanning myelofibrosis label expansion and the emerging VEXAS indication.
  • Develop and maintain a high-quality Integrated Project Plan (IPP), including resourcing and budget.
  • Drive lifecycle management (LCM) to extend product value and optimize portfolio performance, with a focus on broader label and indication expansion opportunities beyond current approved use.
  • Lead the strategic development of the new VEXAS indication, including shaping the global program architecture from early planning through regulatory submission and launch.
  • Ensure readiness of global regulatory submissions and approvals for myelofibrosis label expansion and VEXAS indication.
  • Align evidence generation plans with asset strategy, guiding clinical, medical, and real-world data priorities to support label expansion and indication expansion efforts.
  • Assess ex-U.S. markets to identify viable pathways and develop focused geographic expansion plans, building a truly global footprint for Vonjo.
  • Engage and build relationships, in coordination with Medical, with select top-tier KOLs to inform the strategy.
  • Lead and develop the Core Asset Team (CAT), integrating expertise from R&D, Medical Affairs, TechOps, Commercial, and Project Management.
  • Partner closely with regional and functional leaders to align global strategy with local execution.
  • Ensure effective coordination between CAT members and their respective functional asset teams to execute functional plans.
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams across R&D, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, TechOps, and Commercial to ensure strategic alignment and execution.
  • Build the investment cases and ensure budgets remain within approved guardrails.
  • Coordinate and oversee CAT members' strategy execution, leveraging functional expertise.
  • Prepare for and represent the asset in ExCom Portfolio Reviews and other key decision forums.
  • Lead proactive scenario and mitigation planning to manage strategic, regulatory, and commercial risks impacting asset value.
  • Identify risks and implement corrective actions early, escalating to governance committees as needed.
  • Maintain a single source of truth for asset data and performance metrics.
  • Partner with U.S. and regional teams to ensure launch readiness, assess ex-U.S. market potential, and maintain consistent launch excellence where applicable.
  • Collaborate with Insights & Analytics to inform strategy and pre-launch planning.
  • Translate market insights into actionable strategies for differentiation and growth.
