About The Position

Qualcomm’s Data Center organization is redefining next-generation compute platforms by delivering high-performance, energy-efficient server and AI infrastructure solutions for hyperscale and enterprise environments. As a Senior Director Technology, you will lead rack-scale systems architecture and execution for Qualcomm’s data center platforms, working across silicon, hardware, software, firmware, and customer-facing engineering teams to deliver scalable infrastructure solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 10+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 9+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
  • 15+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
  • 15+ years of 4G/5G/6G systems and associated cellular standards (e.g., 3GPP NR, LTE, LTE, 3G).
  • 4+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
  • 4+ years of supervisory experience.
  • 3+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with executive leadership (e.g., Vice President level and above).
  • 2+ years of working with operating budgets and/or project financials.

Responsibilities

  • Lead rack-scale systems architecture and platform direction aligned to Qualcomm’s AI and data center roadmap
  • Mentor senior technical teams across systems engineering, platform integration, and architecture execution
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across silicon, hardware, software, firmware, operations, and customer engineering teams
  • Provide technical guidance to senior leadership and support customer and ecosystem engagements as a subject matter expert
  • Promote engineering discipline, accountability, and execution rigor across complex systems programs
  • Own and drive rack-scale architecture across compute, networking, power, cooling, and system integration
  • Establish OCP-aligned rack-level designs and platform standards
  • Lead platform execution from concept through validation, production readiness, and customer deployment
  • Drive hardware–software co-design including firmware, telemetry, observability, and rack management
  • Partner with hyperscalers, OEMs, ODMs, and ecosystem providers to scale adoption
  • Establish program KPIs, technical reviews, and operating cadence to ensure predictable execution
  • Ensure systems meet reliability, scalability, manufacturability, and total cost of ownership targets
  • Drive adoption of next-generation technologies including CXL, composable infrastructure, and advanced interconnects
