About The Position

Leads strategy and execution for North America Global inbound management and supplier excellence to improve end-to-end Supply Chain flow. Drives performance through data-driven insights, loss reduction, supplier governance, and cross-functional alignment while developing talent and fostering a culture of integrity, continuous improvement, and customer focus. This position will require to sit on-site at our home office in Bentonville, AR. Travel is required to perform one or more essential functions of this role. Travel may include: Domestic travel (overnight): Travel to and from multiple facilities or work sites requiring an overnight stay. Domestic travel (consecutive overnights): Travel to and from multiple facilities or work sites requiring consecutive overnight stays. Domestic travel (same day): Travel to and from multiple facilities or work sites during the workday. International travel (extended stays): Travel to and from multiple facilities or work sites requiring extended overnight stays.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience developing teams through coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
  • Cross-border transportation (truckload, rail, ocean, air, LTL/parcel) and optimization including expanding service partnerships.
  • Strong strategic planning and business acumen, including forecasting, cost analysis, resource planning, and operational performance management.
  • Expertise in data-driven problem solving (trend analysis, statistical controls, failure mode analysis) and building enterprise-ready metrics and reporting.
  • Demonstrated success by reducing loss, simplifying work content, and mitigating operational risk within complex processes.
  • Experience leading supplier excellence programs, including ship point performance, supplier performance, and cross-functional stakeholder alignment.
  • Ability to influence functions and levels, communicate program value, and drive adoption at scale.
  • Commitment to integrity, ethics, and a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Engineering or related field and 3 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams OR 5 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Engineering or related areas.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching, feedback, mentoring, and development opportunities (training, mentoring, stretch assignments) for associates, managers, and directors to strengthen performance and build a strong leadership pipeline.
  • Analyze business objectives, customer needs, costs, and forecasts to build and execute strategies, plans, and practices; determine resource requirements; evaluate operational processes; measure outcomes; and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Diagnose capability gaps; recruit, select, and develop talent; support mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leverage strengths of new and existing talent.
  • Analyze inbound exceptions holistically and develop strategies using trend analysis, statistical controls, and failure modes; establish performance measurements and reporting used across Walmart to optimize flow across channels.
  • Identify, capture, and communicate losses within inbound exception processes; prioritize loss reduction efforts; and reduce work content to mitigate Supply Chain risk.
  • Embed integrity and ethics into programs and practices; define consequences for non-compliance; and support the Open Door Policy.
  • Develop and evolve to deliver the “4 Rights” (Right Item, Right Invoice, Right Condition, Right Time) and align stakeholders to deliver a best-in-class internal and external supplier experience.
  • Build strategy for corrective action based on trends, statistical controls, and failure modes; establish enterprise performance measures and report to improve flow.
  • Oversee processes to onboard, maintain, and exit suppliers as products move through flow channels; ensure compliance and adherence for new product implementation into Supply Chain networks.
  • Engage key stakeholders in planning, execution, and evaluation of initiatives; sponsor community outreach and involvement; and support associate participation.
