Job Summary Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, the Senior Director, Strategic Procurement is responsible for defining and deploying Distech's global procurement strategy to support business growth, product innovation, cost competitiveness, and supply chain resilience. This individual leads the global strategic procurement function and is responsible for procurement category management, supplier strategy, contract manufacturing partnerships, product lifecycle risk management, digital transformation of the procurement function, and support for product development and maintenance engineering activities. As a member of the Operations leadership team, they actively contribute to the development of organizational capabilities, strengthening business partnerships, and implementing the processes, tools, and strategies necessary to support Distech's long-term growth objectives.

Requirements

University degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field.
Over 15 years of progressive experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
Significant experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong electronic component focus.
Solid knowledge of electronic components, electronic assemblies (PCBA), contract manufacturing, global supply markets, and supplier network management strategies.
Demonstrated experience in leading international procurement teams and organizations.
Recognized achievements in cost reduction, margin improvement, supply security, and business performance.
Experience collaborating with product development and maintenance engineering teams.
Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to influence financial results and strategic company direction.
Proficiency in French is required for positions permanently located in Quebec to communicate with colleagues and suppliers in Quebec. French training is offered to any permanent employee in Quebec who does not have a good command of French.
Proficiency in another language is required for this position to communicate with clients, partners, and colleagues primarily located outside of Quebec. The company has few clients in Quebec and therefore must constantly use another language to communicate outside of Quebec.

Experience in transforming the procurement function, deploying an ERP, PLM, Source-to-Pay platform, or digitization initiatives is a significant asset.
