About The Position

The Senior Director, Risk Officer leads, executes, and continually evolves DNTB’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program. The role provides independent risk oversight and partners with the President, executive management, and the Audit & Risk Committee (ARC) to maintain an effective risk management framework suited to the Bank’s strategy, size, complexity, and risk profile. The Risk Officer reports administratively to the President and is subject to the functional oversight of the ARC. The role has direct and unrestricted access to the ARC and ARC Chair, and authority to independently escalate material risk matters when appropriate. As DNTB’s senior risk leader, the position connects risk strategy, risk appetite, regulatory expectations, and business priorities to effective, sustainable risk management programs, processes, monitoring, and reporting. It translates approved risk strategy and appetite into scalable programs and recommends how the framework should evolve as the business strategy, growth, emerging risks, and regulatory expectations change. The successful candidate will combine independent judgment with collaboration and practical problem-solving. Success is measured by the effectiveness of the ERM program, timely identification and management of risk issues, quality of management and ARC reporting, and the ability to turn risk priorities into sustainable execution.
