About The Position

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all. This role is within the CxO Marketing team, which exists to win executive decisions regarding platform trust, vendor partnerships, and AI adoption. The team focuses on marketing built specifically for C-suite technology and business buyers, encompassing executive thought leadership, executive event content, an external executive advisory community, message development and testing, and systems for converting executive engagement into pipeline. The Senior Director will lead this team as a player-coach, focusing on persona strategy, distinctive points of view, quality bar on executive-facing narratives, repeatable engagement systems, and team development. The team's work currently centers on the CIO and broader technology-executive audience, with expansion into the CMO. The role involves building a bench of external advisors, C-suite leaders, and customers to support messaging.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in product marketing, executive-audience marketing, or corporate marketing in enterprise B2B technology.
  • Experience managing senior marketers.
  • Genuine fluency with technical executive audiences; ability to write, edit, and defend architecture-level narrative for CIOs and CTOs.
  • Player-coach capabilities: effective in presenting business reviews to CxOs and line-editing talk tracks.
  • Pipeline and operations rigor: experience owning marketing-sourced pipeline measures, running business-review machinery, and managing budgets.
  • Executive presence without ego; ability to prep keynote speakers and engage with customer executives.
  • Matrixed influence: track record of shipping through teams not directly controlled in a large, fast-moving organization.
  • AI-forward operator's mindset: hands-on enthusiasm for agents and automation.
  • Care for people: ability to develop, protect, and retain a small, senior team.

Responsibilities

  • Own the executive messaging source of truth, including messaging and positioning for CIO/CTO and CMO audiences, updated quarterly.
  • Develop differentiated points of view for executives, such as maturity models, architectural guides, and research-backed narratives.
  • Set the quality bar for all executive-facing talk tracks, decks, and assets, including thought leadership for campaigns.
  • Shape the content of executive moments, including Dreamforce, World Tour executive programming, CIO summits, industry stages, and media partnerships.
  • Source and prepare executive voices, and synthesize learnings back into messaging.
  • Own pipeline measures tied to executive events and content, and build follow-through to convert executive attention into opportunity.
  • Own executive seller enablement, including persona guidance, discussion guides, and self-serve assets for C-suite meetings.
  • Lead and develop a small team of senior individual contributors through career development, coaching, and workload protection.
  • Act as the final quality check on executive-facing work and develop the team's judgment.
  • Champion the use of AI agents, automations, and dashboards within the team.
  • Operate the matrix by brokering partnerships and establishing a shared way of working for executive-audience marketing across product and corporate marketing.
