About The Position

The Senior Director Product Management is responsible for managing the product management program for a broad product type of TTI’s product line. This role ensures the correct mix/inventory levels of products are available to meet customer needs and sales requirements, minimizes costs and maximizes profits through effective inventory management, purchasing decisions, and supplier relationships. The position also aims to enhance TTI's image as the distributor of choice and achieve corporate sales, gross profit margin, and pre-tax goals. Headquartered in Fort Worth, TX, TTI, Inc. is a Berkshire Hathaway company with over 50 years of experience and more than 100 locations globally. The Senior Director will lead a product management team, evaluate and revise inventory plans, consult with sales representatives, manage budgeting and forecasting processes, remove obstacles, negotiate major contracts, and ensure system hygiene for product-related information.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent job-related experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 plus years of related industry experience is required, including experience in sales, sales management, marketing, product management, distribution, asset management, etc.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook) at the intermediate level preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).

Responsibilities

  • Manage the product management program for a broad product type of TTI’s product line.
  • Ensure the correct mix/inventory levels of products are available to meet customer needs and sales requirements.
  • Minimize costs and maximize profits through effective inventory management, purchasing decisions, and supplier relationships.
  • Enhance the image of TTI in the marketplace as the distributor of choice.
  • Achieve Corporate sales, gross profit margin and pre-tax goals.
  • Develop and direct a product management work team.
  • Evaluate and revise inventory plans for assigned products and suppliers.
  • Consult with TTI sales representatives regarding customer needs, product features, product availability, and cost issues.
  • Manage processes for budgeting, forecasting, etc.
  • Remove obstacles, help negotiate major contracts and provide product solutions/unique advantages for suppliers, customers and other industry representatives.
  • Review overall system hygiene for products within the group to ensure TTI systems/databases reflect accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date product-related information.
