About The Position

At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. We're looking for a Senior Director, Patient Advocacy to join our Patient Advocacy team, shaping enterprise-wide strategy across discovery, development, and commercialization from our Sleepy Hollow, NY campus. In this role, you'll build the operating model that brings the patient voice into executive decision-making, partnering closely with Medical, Commercial, Market Access, Policy, and Clinical Development. This position offers the opportunity to shape how a fast-growing, science-driven organization listens to and acts on patient needs, making a meaningful difference for people living with serious diseases worldwide.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience, including 10+ years leading multi-stakeholder patient advocacy programs
  • A track record of building enterprise-wide, cross-functional programs with visible business impact
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with experience preparing board-ready materials
  • Experience partnering with Medical, Commercial, Market Access, and Policy teams, with working knowledge of compliance in advocacy

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in rare disease, oncology, hematology, ophthalmology, immunology, or cardio-metabolic disease
  • Experience operating in complex, matrixed, or global organizations; alliance management experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Shape Regeneron’s enterprise-wide patient advocacy strategy, connecting the patient voice to discovery, development, and commercialization.
  • Build the standards and governance that guide how we engage advocacy and professional organizations.
  • Partner with Medical, Commercial, Market Access, Policy, and Clinical Development to set a multi-year advocacy roadmap.
  • Drive measurable outcomes — faster diagnosis, stronger trial awareness, broader access, and a better patient experience.
  • Move fluidly between big-picture strategy and hands-on execution, leading through influence across teams.
  • Turn corporate priorities into focused, therapeutic-area plans with clear decision rights.
  • Read external trends and policy shifts early, and recommend the moves that keep patient impact and business goals aligned.
  • Report progress through KPIs, dashboards, and board-ready materials that keep senior leaders informed.
