This role focuses on the pre-sales technical motion, owning the technical scope of engagements and collaborating closely with the scientific team. The Senior Director will lead technical discovery with IT stakeholders, scope integrations and migrations, produce Binding Estimates, and own RFP and security questionnaire responses. They will also guide partners towards standard integration patterns, work with the post-sales team to identify and leverage pre-sales tooling, co-develop evaluation frameworks, identify emerging trends, and develop playbooks and processes for services conversations. A key aspect of the role is ensuring a clean handoff from pre-sales to the engineering team for execution, including designing and owning the handoff process, building enablement content, and staying aligned with the engineering team on delivery patterns. The role also involves team building and cross-functional leadership, including defining the structure, hiring plan, and operating model for the Solution Engineering function, building a strong partnership with the Solution Science leader, and developing the team. Collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Forward Deployed Scientists is crucial for aligning on field requirements, integration demand, and roadmap priorities.
