About The Position

This is a build job where the Senior Director of Product Marketing will set the go-to-market strategy, defend it to the leadership team, and then write the positioning, pricing guidance, launch plans, and sales content. The role involves building influence and, over time, the product marketing function. The individual will own positioning and messaging, set pricing and packaging principles, and manage product launches from beta through general availability. They will also be responsible for sales content, such as pitch decks and demo scripts, and for learning from buyers about purchasing decisions and win/loss reasons.

Requirements

  • Owned product marketing strategy and execution in B2B software.
  • Experience aligning an executive team to a go-to-market strategy and holding the organization accountable.
  • A defendable point of view on positioning.
  • Real experience owning pricing and packaging decisions and understanding their market performance.
  • Fluency with AI as a working tool for research, writing, testing, and production, with opinions on its utility and limitations.
  • Ability to write from the customer's perspective.
  • Comfort being the sole owner of a function initially, with the capacity to build a team as the company grows.

  • Experience marketing software in the legal or professional services vertical.
  • Experience marketing AI products that require customer trust before use.

Responsibilities

  • Set the go-to-market strategy, including target customers, growth areas, competitive approach, and sales/customer success/marketing messaging.
  • Own positioning and messaging, including the company's point of view on the future of legal technology.
  • Set pricing and packaging principles, from tiers to specific price points.
  • Run product launches from beta through general availability, ensuring field readiness.
  • Own sales content, including pitch decks, demo scripts, and business-case tools, and continuously improve it based on field feedback.
  • Own the process of learning from buyers, including understanding who buys, their decision-making process, and reasons for wins or losses, supported by evidence.
