About The Position

Affinity is seeking a Senior Director of Product Management to lead their entire product management team. This role involves owning the team's operations, execution, and development, with a particular focus on enhancing AI fluency. The successful candidate will partner closely with Build leadership to shape the future of Affinity and report directly to the SVP of Product. This is a critical time for Affinity as they have evolved their CRM into a system of action powered by AI agents. The company is looking for a leader with a strong vision for product management craft, team development, and the evolving discipline, especially in the context of AI.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in product management, with at least 5 years leading and developing high-performing PM teams, including managing leads or principal-level PMs.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for evolving how PM teams operate, with a focus on team, culture, craft, and cadence.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to connect PM decisions to business outcomes, weigh trade-offs, and influence company and product strategy.
  • A proven track record of building teams that execute effectively and raising the bar on team operations.
  • A clear perspective on how AI is changing product management and evidence of applying this to personal work and team practices.
  • Experience in B2B or enterprise software with professional users, understanding workflow complexity and data quality expectations.
  • Comfort with pace and ambiguity, remaining steady as priorities evolve.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for rallying teams, influencing peers, and representing product management.
  • Directness paired with genuine care for people, including giving honest feedback and building trust.
  • Experience in private capital, financial services, or a domain where relationships and data are central to the product.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of product managers and a product analyst, many of whom are staff or principal level.
  • Own the product management operating cadence, including roadmap and execution reviews, planning cycles, prioritization, and the triad model with engineering and design.
  • Set the standard for product management craft at Affinity, defining excellence in discovery, prioritization, scoping, delivery, and organizational influence.
  • Lead the team's continued growth in AI fluency, developing team-wide practices and leading by example in leveraging AI for various product management tasks.
  • Partner with engineering, design, and product marketing leadership to optimize the operating model, quality, and delivery predictability.
  • Translate strategy into an executable plan, ensuring clear priorities and alignment across initiatives, roadmaps, team strategies, and company/product strategy.
  • Build the team's strategic capabilities, focusing on sharper metrics, impact modeling, and linking product work to business outcomes.
  • Hire and develop strong product management talent, establishing a culture that attracts and retains skilled professionals.
  • Operate as a senior leader at Affinity, contributing to strategic planning beyond the product management function.
