About The Position

HelloFresh is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Director of Product to lead our Advertising Technology organization. This is a mission-critical role based in Berlin/New York reporting to Jal Tummala, VP of Growth Product. You will be directly responsible for the technical platforms and AI/ML capabilities required to manage a $1.2 billion advertising budget globally. As a leader in this space, you are accountable for delivering double-digit year-over-year growth in customer acquisition and Return on Ad Spend (ROAS). You will build and scale the AdTech engine, ensuring we continuously identify, test, and deploy high-impact bidding and measurement optimizations at speed and scale.

Requirements

  • Deep AdTech Expertise: 10+ years of progressive product leadership experience, with 5+ years focused specifically on owning large-scale AdTech stacks (Attribution, Automated Bidding, Tracking, and Targeting).
  • Proven Growth Track Record: A history of executing globally scaled strategies that delivered demonstrable and sustained uplift in ROAS and customer acquisition.
  • Strategic Product Vision: Ability to translate ambitious business objectives into a clear, defensible product roadmap (12-24 months) while maintaining focus on executional excellence
  • Leadership Excellence: Strong skills in guiding teams and holding them accountable while fostering autonomy and a culture of innovation.

Responsibilities

  • AdTech Strategy: Define and own the global product vision and 3-year strategy for advertising technology, focusing on marketing attribution, automated bidding, and incrementality measurement.
  • Direct Accountability: Own key results related to media spend efficiency, subscriber volume, and the ROI metrics derived from stack optimization.
  • Prioritization: Establish a rigorous, data-informed prioritization framework for a portfolio of AdTech initiatives that span multiple brands and markets.
  • Product Leadership: Directly manage and mentor a high-performing team of 5 - 6 Product Managers.
  • Mentorship: Provide clear coaching on strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and deep technical understanding of attribution architecture and bidding algorithms.
  • Scaling the Practice: Champion a culture of scientific rigor, rapid experimentation, and clear performance measurement across all teams, scaling best-in-class AdTech practices globally.
  • Marketing & Growth Alignment: Partner closely with Marketing and Media teams to ensure seamless integration between paid media campaigns and our internal AdTech stack.
  • Executive Influence: Act as a strategic sparring partner for the CMO and VP-level marketing leaders to build a unified strategy connecting customer acquisition investment with technical execution.
  • Technical Acumen: Engage effectively with Engineering VPs and Directors on technical architecture and the scalability required to support a €7B+ global platform.
