About The Position

Circle Logistics is seeking a Senior Director of Operations to oversee and scale enterprise-level freight brokerage operations across multiple accounts and teams. This is a true executive-level opportunity designed for an operator who understands margin, execution, scalability, and accountability at scale. The role involves full oversight of brokerage operations performance, team structure, hiring strategy, leadership development, margin improvement, operational efficiency initiatives, spot market and contract freight execution strategy, service metrics, carrier strategy, capacity management, cross-functional collaboration with Sales and Executive Leadership, and removal of operational bottlenecks that limit scalability. The company is looking for someone to optimize, scale, and elevate the operation, not just manage a small team.

Requirements

• 8 years in direct freight brokerage operations (non-asset based required)
• Proven leadership over multi-team brokerage environments
• Experience managing volume-driven, fast-paced freight networks
• Strong financial acumen — deep understanding of GP, margin optimization, and cost controls
• Spot bid & RFQ oversight experience at scale
• Track record of building and leading high-performance operational teams
• Ability to drive accountability without micromanagement
• Executive-level communication and decision-making skills
• Pure brokerage leadership
