About The Position

The Senior Director of Hospital Engagement is a senior executive responsible for leading USA Managed Care Organization’s strategy to grow and optimize its hospital network. This leader drives strategic engagement with hospital systems, C-suite executives, and health system administrators to expand access, enhance alignment, and elevate USA MCO’s competitive edge across Medigap and managed care offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years in hospital network development, managed care contracting, or provider strategy.
  • Proven experience leading national or regional hospital contracting strategies.
  • Executive-level engagement and high-value negotiation experience required.
  • Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and contracting platforms.
  • Willingness to travel 25–40% domestically for partner meetings and industry events.

Nice To Haves

  • Health Administration, Business, or Public Policy preferred.
  • Insurance Knowledge within healthcare sales (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Help lead the development and execution of USA MCO’s hospital contracting strategy aligned with market expansion goals.
  • Identify target facilities and health systems using geographic data, market opportunity, and competitive intelligence.
  • Initiate and lead negotiations with C-level hospital executives, legal teams, and administrators.
  • Direct a multi-region pipeline of hospital and facility opportunities, monitoring progress across all contracting stages.
  • Serve as the executive liaison to strategic hospital partners and major health systems.
  • Represent USA MCO at high-level industry events, conferences, and executive meetings.
  • Responsible for hospital engagement, contracting, and relationship management.
  • Coach and develop talent in negotiation strategy, provider relations, and network planning.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to support implementation, credentialing, and performance tracking.
  • Oversee legal and financial review of hospital contracts, including rate structures, exclusivity terms, and performance guarantees.
  • Monitor hospital partner performance, satisfaction, and compliance with contract terms.
  • Support integration of new providers into claims, billing, and eligibility systems.
  • Deliver data-driven insights to executive leadership on network gaps, provider performance, and contracting outcomes.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform USA MCO’s strategic positioning.
  • Maintain accurate reporting of network status, signed agreements, and pipeline metrics.
