About The Position

The Senior Director of Risk & Pharmacy Compliance will oversee the pharmacy compliance function. You’ll work alongside collaborative partners within the organization and in the field to help support our mission. In this role, you will direct and provide regulatory guidance to the corporate enterprise to ensure compliant practices, and procedures, conduct investigations, oversee monitoring activities and ensure timely response complaints, concerns and regulatory inquiries. Your ability to direct technical and regulatory guidance while assisting in the identification, implementation and maintenance of Fuze Health’s pharmacy compliance, policies/procedures, consent/authorization forms and information notices/materials to ensure compliance with federal and state laws is required. You will manage a team of compliance professionals and be responsible for raising the visibility of pharmacy compliance with the org and for the career development of the team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in healthcare industry in a role focused on providing guidance on privacy and compliance related activities
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance, including HIPAA/HITECH and other data privacy laws and regulations
  • experience with state pharmacy regulations, state pharmacy boards, general pharmacy compliance and pharmacy accreditations
  • Prior experience as a privacy and compliance officer for regulated healthcare company, preferably pharmacy compliance.
  • Experience managing a compliance-focused function (quality, pharmacy compliance, clinical trials or other healthcare compliance)

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain an enterprise-wide pharmacy compliance program.
  • Identify areas of significant pharmacy compliance risk, such as, drug diversion, and sound compliance procedures
  • Oversee compliance with HIPAA and other applicable regulations
  • Management of existing pharmacy compliance team with responsibility for pharmacy compliance oversight spanning 50 states
  • Oversee pharmacy licensing activities across all 50 states
  • Work with clinical, operations, and product teams to ensure compliance with applicable healthcare laws and regulations
  • Oversee Certification and Accreditation requirements
  • Lead compliance monitoring to identify process gaps, validates compliance levels, drafts corrective actions/remediation plans, oversees implementation of corrective actions, prepares reports/presentations
  • Collaborate with cross-functionally to ensure regulatory and contractual requirements are met
  • Work closely with business partners, from front-line to senior leaders, to provide a compliance strategy and support business accountability for that strategy
  • Guide continuing compliance program development and improvements
  • Support enterprise expanded use of AI and advise on privacy and data security implications
