About the Opportunity As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Senior Director of Finance serves as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board of Directors, and ministry leaders. This role provides strategic financial leadership while helping position YUGM for long-term sustainability, responsible growth, and continued ministry impact. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Seven or more years of progressive financial leadership experience
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash management, and strategic planning
• Experience advising executive leaders, senior leadership teams, or boards of directors
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, and regulatory compliance
• Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into practical business decisions

Nice To Haves

• CPA or MBA
• Executive financial leadership experience within a nonprofit organization
• Experience with donor-restricted funds, grants, and nonprofit fund accounting
• Experience supporting organizational growth, capital projects, or significant organizational change
• Candidates currently serving as a Director of Finance, Assistant CFO, Vice President of Finance, Controller with executive leadership responsibilities, or similar financial leadership roles are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the CEO, Senior Leadership Team, and Board of Directors.
• Lead long-range financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Develop financial models and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making.
• Oversee accounting, payroll, treasury, financial reporting, audits, and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare meaningful financial reports that equip leaders to make informed decisions.
• Monitor organizational financial performance and recommend proactive strategies to strengthen long-term sustainability.
• Partner with Development leadership to support fundraising initiatives and financial stewardship.
• Evaluate the financial impact of new programs, capital projects, and strategic investments.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Promote faithful stewardship while supporting the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of YUGM.
