About The Position

Strategically grow the philanthropic impact of the College of Law at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to change lives and save lives. The University of Nebraska Foundation grows relationships and resources that enable the University of Nebraska to change lives and save lives. The foundation is in the public phase of a historic campaign to raise $3 billion to build a better future for Nebraska. This position will work in our Lincoln office.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of experience in development or a related field with transferrable skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and judgement.
• Discretion in handling confidential matters.
• Candidates will also be evaluated on our core values of passion for mission, integrity, and teamwork.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s Degree.
• 3+ years of experience managing a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic initiatives and plans for identification and cultivation of major gift prospects, and solicitation of transformational gifts for long term success.
• Directly communicate with and build a robust community of philanthropic support by partnering with community members, College of Law campus partners, and university leadership.
• Holistically plan and implement major and principal gift fundraising.
• Lead, coach, and mentor seasoned, highly motivated, fundraising professionals.
