About The Position

This notice is provided in connection with the filing of an application for permanent alien labor certification for this position. The Senior Director of Accounting will lead and manage the day-to-day and month-end close activities of WME’s Accounting Department. This role involves reviewing month-end journal entries, preparing and presenting monthly reporting packages, researching accounting issues under U.S. GAAP, and managing M&A transactions. The position also requires coordinating with external and internal audits, collaborating with cross-functional teams, maintaining internal controls (SOX), and performing ad hoc financial analysis. The role includes managing a team of accounting professionals.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalence in Accounting or a related field
Five (5) years of progressive experience in the field of accounting and/or financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the day-to-day and month-end close activities of WME’s Accounting Department.
Review month-end journal entries for WME and ensure completeness and accuracy of all journal entries for month-end close.
Prepare, review and present monthly review reporting package to SVP, Controller and CFO.
Research accounting issues under U.S. GAAP and provide technical expertise to the accounting team and management.
Prepare technical accounting memos and analysis for significant accounting matters as needed.
Manage the migration of various M&A transactions and divestitures, including, integration of new subsidiaries into our accounting system and reporting process.
Coordinate and manage external audits, internal audits, and tax requests.
Collaborate with the Corporate accounting and other cross-functional teams, including Finance, Legal, and Operations, on questions/requests.
Maintain integrity of, and compliance with, internal controls (SOX).
Ad hoc financial analysis and management reports to SVP, Controller, CFO, and executive management.
Manage 1 Director, 1 Senior Accounting Manager, 2 Accounting Managers, and 3 Senior Accountants.
