MarketOnce•Quinte West, ON
•$175,000 - $225,000•Onsite

About The Position

eAccountable, a MarketOnce Company, is a performance marketing agency with 25+ years of heritage in Affiliate and Performance PR. We drive profitable revenue for growth-focused brands in the $20M to $200M range, with Amazon and Marketplaces, Affiliate, Performance PR, Paid media, GEO/SEO, and Creative under one roof. We are building toward a $20M agency by 2029 and a $100M agency over the next decade. Leading in marketplaces, on Amazon, Walmart, and beyond, is one of our four core growth strategies. We are hiring a Director of Marketplaces to lead, develop, and strengthen our Amazon and Marketplaces team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is both a true Marketplace expert and a builder of people. You will set the standard for how our team works, establish the best practices and systems that make great work repeatable, and develop a talented, early-career team into a group of confident marketplace professionals. Our current team has dedicated and motivated team members with varying tenure, and they need a leader who will teach, coach, and set them up for long-term success. Once that foundation is in place, you will guide the division's next stage of growth.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in Amazon and marketplace management, with deep hands-on command of Amazon Advertising, Seller Central, Vendor Central, catalog, and retail media
  • 5+ years directly leading and developing teams with evidence of strong retention and career growth, including early-career or junior team members
  • Proven track record of growing Amazon accounts and total book revenue across key verticals such as Home and Garden, Supplements, and Health and Wellness, with results you can quantify
  • Direct experience selling agency services: leading pitches, building proposals, and closing new clients
  • Experience owning senior client relationships with brands in the $20M to $200M revenue range
  • A track record of building teams people stay on, including hiring, coaching, and managing performance
  • Strong commercial judgment: comfortable with P&L, margin, pricing, and capacity decisions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience stabilizing a team through a period of turnover or transition
  • Walmart Marketplace, Target Plus, or other marketplace expertise
  • Additional vertical depth in Beauty and Personal Care, Sports and Outdoors, or Fashion
  • Familiarity with EOS or a similar operating system

Responsibilities

  • Build a stable, engaged team where people want to stay, grow, and build careers in marketplaces
  • Coach and mentor a junior team through hands-on teaching, regular 1:1s, and real-time feedback on client work
  • Create individual development plans and clear career paths so each team member understands how to grow
  • Set clear expectations and roles, run a consistent operating rhythm, and hold the team accountable with fairness and care
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, and performance management for the Marketplaces team, building a structure that can continue to scale as the team grows

  • Establish the standards, SOPs, and playbooks that define how marketplaces work gets done at eAccountable
  • Build a structured onboarding and training program so new team members ramp quickly and consistently
  • Create quality control and review processes so delivery excellence does not depend on any single person
  • Design the division's structure, roles, and capacity model so workloads are balanced and sustainable
  • Document institutional knowledge so expertise stays with the team as it grows.
  • Serve as the team's subject matter expert across Amazon Advertising, Seller Central, Vendor Central, catalog, and retail media
  • Stay ahead of Amazon platform, advertising, and retail media changes, and translate them into training and updated practices for the team
  • Set and uphold the standard for client strategy, communication, reporting, and results across the division
  • Act as executive sponsor for key client relationships, leading QBRs and annual planning alongside account leads so the team learns by doing
  • Own resolution of escalations and at-risk accounts, using each as a coaching opportunity for the team
  • Partner with Creative, Paid Media, Data, and Affiliate leaders to deliver integrated client outcomes
  • Own the marketplaces division strategy, annual plan, and quarterly priorities, tied to retention, quality, and revenue targets
  • Build the roadmap for service expansion beyond Amazon, including Walmart and other priority marketplaces, as team capacity allows
  • Grow revenue within existing clients by deepening results and identifying expansion opportunities
  • Support the new business team as the marketplaces expert in pitches, audits, and proposals
  • Manage divisional performance metrics including revenue, margin, utilization, and team retention
