About The Position

ROLE SUMMARY The Senior Director, Lifecycle Development is responsible for shaping the strategic and commercial trajectory of full lifecycle initiatives across the Global Hospital & Biosimilars portfolio, from early ideation through launch. This role is accountable for shaping what is developed and why,ensuring that opportunities are strategically sound, commercially attractive, and aligned to portfolio priorities. This position operates at the intersection of strategy, value creation, and enterprise decision‑making, driving clarity and pace through partnerships with Manufacturing, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to guide decisions that maximize sustainable portfolio value. Key Elements of the role include: End‑to‑end accountability for lifecycle opportunity development, spanning ideation, business case development, and launch readiness Ownership of commercial development strategy and investment logic for in‑line lifecycle initiatives and organically developed new products Stewardship of value creation, strategic fit, and portfolio alignment for lifecycle initiatives Leadership through influence and decision framing, not project management ownership ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Lifecycle Strategy & Business Case Leadership Shape and progress lifecycle opportunities by defining clear strategic intent, value hypotheses, and robust business cases from ideation to launch readiness Develop integrated commercial development strategies that articulate investment rationale and expected value delivery Evaluate opportunity attractiveness through structured analysis, scenario modeling, and value frameworks undefined Cross‑Functional Leadership & Decision Enablement Partner with Manufacturing, Regulatory, and Commercial stakeholders to translate concepts into investable, executable pathways Lead cross‑functional option development and trade‑off discussions to support timely, high‑quality portfolio decisions Ensure lifecycle initiatives account for broader network capacity, portfolio strategy, and market dynamics Operate as an enterprise integrator—synthesizing inputs, surfacing implications, and guiding aligned decision‑making Governance, Recommendations & Portfolio Stewardship Represent lifecycle initiatives in governance forums, providing clear, integrated, high‑quality recommendations rather than functional point‑solutions Support senior Portfolio and Strategy & Business Development leaders as a trusted thought partner Drive project‑based ways of working with an emphasis on 90‑day planning and decision cycles Leadership Mindset & Ways of Working Lead with judgment, simplification, and a bias for action rather than process ownership Model forward‑looking, holistic thinking grounded in execution feasibility Promote culture of focused execution, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration undefined

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees (PhD, PharmD, MBA, etc.) Preferred
  • 12+ years of broad pharmaceutical experience in commercial/Manufacturing/Finance/operations/strategy
  • The leader will be a strong self-starter with a proven track record of delivering results in complex and matrixed environment, leading and building resilient teams and driving impact through influence, collaboration and clear decision making.
  • Demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to shape and defend business cases and guide investment decisions across multiple stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing, regulatory, and commercialization considerations without owning execution delivery
  • Proven senior‑level influencer with credibility across functions and leadership forums
  • Comfort operating at both strategic and operational‑decision altitudes
  • This position requires permanent work authorization in the United States.
