About The Position

This role is for a Senior Director within Accenture's Infrastructure & Capital Projects division, focusing on driving strategic growth in healthcare programs, project management, construction management, and advisory services. The position involves leading healthcare market expansion efforts, particularly across California, and developing executive-level relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare industry. The individual will be responsible for identifying and capturing new opportunities, leading pursuit strategies, and developing growth and market penetration plans. A key aspect of the role includes establishing processes and policies for the healthcare group, ensuring regulatory compliance with California building and safety codes, and managing relationships with regulatory agencies. Financial oversight, including budget and forecast management, is also a significant responsibility. The role requires collaborating with healthcare executives to translate needs into facility design and construction while minimizing disruption to patient care, overseeing procurement, contract negotiations, and vendor management. Proactive identification of market expansion opportunities and supervision of the healthcare group, fostering a collaborative culture and mentoring team members, are also core functions. The work location is flexible, involving a mix of remote, client site, and Accenture office work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field
  • Minimum 20 + years in healthcare planning, design, and construction management
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, complex HCAI/OSHPD ground-up hospital or renovation projects
  • Deep understanding of California building codes, regulatory compliance, and Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) procedures
  • OSHA /HCAI and CCM certifications
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project) and CAD software

  • Experience with all types of project deliveries including Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) or Lean construction methods

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic growth of healthcare programs, project management, construction management, and advisory services.
  • Lead healthcare market expansion efforts across California.
  • Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with healthcare systems, hospital executives, developers, and design/construction partners.
  • Identify, position, and capture new project management, construction management, and advisory opportunities.
  • Lead pursuit strategies, interviews, and proposal efforts for major healthcare opportunities.
  • Develop annual growth strategies, revenue forecasts, and market penetration plans.
  • Establish processes, policies, priorities, and resource planning for the healthcare group to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to California building, licensing, and safety codes, managing relationships with regulatory agencies for timely approvals.
  • Develop and maintain detailed budgets, forecasts, and schedules, overseeing financial performance, expenses, and client contracts.
  • Collaborate with healthcare executives and stakeholders to translate needs into facility design and construction while minimizing disruption to patient care.
  • Oversee procurement, RFP processes, contract negotiations, and vendor performance management.
  • Proactively identify and track market expansion opportunities to position the healthcare group for new contracts.
  • Supervise the healthcare group, fostering a collaborative culture and mentoring team members for professional development.
