Requirements

  • CPA, CA auditor.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience working in an organization preparing consolidation statements for a medium sized multi company and multi-currency company.
  • US GAAP and IFRS deep knowledge and ability to prepare and or approve accounting memo’s.
  • Advanced excel skills with ability to prepare basic modelling and financial templates.
  • Netsuite experience.
  • English, French language and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize time driven deliverables while managing a team.
  • Leadership skills to motivate, improve and transform team to best in class.

  • M&A experience an asset including sale or shares and or assets.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparation of the group’s consolidated financial statements on a monthly basis, with quarterly lender materials and an annual audited set of statements in conformance with US GAAP.
  • Responsible for several statutory financial statements in various countries complying to local GAAP, with a complex sub-consolidation in the UK following IFRS.
  • Update and ensure accounting policies and all memos on material areas of risk are reviewed and updated based on current pronouncements.
  • Oversee and lead a team of accounting members responsible for entity and regional level month end close task and analysis with a focus on data accuracy and speed to close.
  • Liaise with auditors in all jurisdictions and ensure annual audit is done in a timely manner.
  • Prepare models and work closely with accounting firm for goodwill impairment, equity valuation and any other complex accounting areas or transactions.
  • Oversee revenue recognition policy and compliance to 606 and IFRS 15.
  • Oversee IFRS 16 or ASC 842.
  • Assist FP&A and Controller with any forecasting of balance sheet, working capital or other metrics required.
  • Lead and prepare any divestiture or sale transactions (M&A).
  • Manage day to day operations of the team providing oversight and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring team performance and providing feedback, coaching and development.
  • Facilitate communication between team members, upper management and other departments.
