About The Position

The Senior Director Finance Business Partner supports the four Transformation Leaders within the Technology Organization, with accountability across Product, Data, and UI domains. This role partners closely with senior leadership to provide financial insights, enable strategic decision-making, and support enterprise-scale transformation initiatives across the tech portfolio. This role reports to the Vice President of Finance. This position is located in our Boise, Idaho or Pleasanton, CA office location. We currently require employees to work onsite Monday through Thursday to support collaboration and engagement. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's preferred) with 7–15 years of progressive finance experience.
  • CPA or CFA certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role supporting technology, product, or transformation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and partner effectively with senior leaders.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and AI/analytics tools.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Financial Support: Partner with Transformation Leaders and senior technology leadership to provide financial insights, evaluate trade-offs, and support strategic initiatives across Product, Data, and UI.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze financial and operational performance across the tech portfolio, including KPIs, delivery economics, and return on investment. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities with actionable recommendations.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead financial planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis to support Product, Data, and UI roadmaps, investment prioritization, and outcomes.
  • Budget and Investment Management: Own planning and oversight of technology budgets, including AOP, quarterly outlooks, and weekly forecasts. Provide variance analysis and insights on investment efficiency and optimization opportunities.
  • Project Finance: Support financial aspects of large-scale initiatives, including business cases, cost-benefit analysis, capitalization strategy, and benefits realization tracking.
  • Product & Platform Economics: Partner with Product, Data, and UI leaders to assess unit economics, funding models, and long-term value creation of technology platforms and capabilities.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Translate complex financial and delivery data into clear insights and recommendations for technology and enterprise leaders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, Data, UX/UI, Corporate Finance, and Operations to ensure alignment between financial plans and transformation objectives.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present executive-level financial updates, investment narratives, and performance materials to senior leadership.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial, delivery, and investment risks associated with technology initiatives.
  • People Leadership: Lead and develop a team of finance managers and/or analysts supporting the Technology Organization.
