About The Position

The Senior Director Finance - Ambulatory Pharmacy and 340B is a senior finance leader and a key member of the leadership team within pharmacy finance. Key constituents include the SVP Chief Pharmacy Officer, health system owned retail and specialty pharmacy leadership, 340B leadership, and site-based Finance Directors. Success will be dependent on an ability to leverage matrixed resources inside and outside of Finance to drive strong business results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • 6+ years of finance and or financial analytics experience including support of an operations leader
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with and positively influence operations leaders
  • Ability to synthesize financial and operating data into concise and actionable information for financial and non-financial users
  • 3+ years of healthcare finance experience

Nice To Haves

  • MBA and or MS in Finance/Analytics
  • Pharmacy Finance and Accounting Experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership for all financial aspects of Ambulatory (Retail and Specialty) Pharmacy and 340B Financial operations and performance including month end close, budget, and core FP&A functions.
  • Facilitate performance management and strategic finance of Ambulatory Pharmacy and the 340B Program while supportively collaborating with the business owners.
  • Lead business development and business planning for service line growth and expansion, leveraging internal and external resources.
  • Collaborate with Ambulatory Pharmacy leaders, service line leaders, physicians and others to analyze, model and implement new business opportunities to maximize system financial performance.
  • Be a leader in driving income improvements for Ambulatory Pharmacy and 340B Program results.
  • Lead financial and coordinate operational aspect of Ambulatory Pharmacy planning and forecasting processes.
  • Help deploy and monitor Mount Sinai Ambulatory Pharmacy and 340B Finance internal controls, including policies, procedures and practices.
  • Collaborate with Corporate FP&A, Finance, and Accounting teams on regular basis.
  • Effectively develop and manage finance team members’ technical skills and ability to understand system interdependencies, promoting a team approach with other areas of the organization.
