Job Purpose: As GSK rapidly grows in Oncology it is essential we build long-standing external partnerships to accelerate breakthroughs. Be part of a new, high-impact Global Partnerships team that establishes strong strategic external collaborations to bring meaningful advances to patients and their loved ones. In this role you will partner with US and Global Medical, R&D and Commercial teams to design and implement a strategic, competitive and coordinated approach to long‑term Academic and Research Partners including research networks, cooperative groups, centers and societies. You will prioritize, establish and manage high impact collaborations to generate measurable outcomes that support US needs and GSK’s global priorities across the product lifecycle. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific discipline.
  • Prior experience in establishing and/or managing multiple external partnerships in the US, including research networks, cooperative groups, academic centres and societies.
  • Prior experience in building and sustaining relationships with recognised external experts (e.g., investigators, network leaders, society leadership).
  • Prior experience acting as a primary or senior point of contact for external stakeholders over time.
  • Effective internal stakeholder management – including experience influencing decision-making with senior internal stakeholders.
  • Prior experience leading teams in a matrixed or cross-functional environment, including setting objectives and priorities, coordinating deliverables and driving accountability.
  • Familiarity with US regulatory, legal and compliance.

Nice To Haves

  • US oncology clinical development and/or medical affairs experience (e.g. involvement in US-based clinical trials, investigator-initiated studies, cooperative group studies, medical affairs activities).
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, prioritise and recommend external partnerships based on scientific value, strategic fit, feasibility and impact.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capability, with examples of navigating ambiguity, addressing complex partnership challenges, and delivering practical solutions.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills, with experience driving aligned outcomes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, matrixed environment while meeting timelines and stakeholder expectations.
  • Proven experience defining and tracking KPIs and success metrics for external partnerships (e.g., strategic value, study activation timelines, data delivery, scientific outputs).
  • Experience using data, insights or dashboards to inform prioritisation, decision-making and resource allocation across multiple partnerships or initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Establishing Global team: Contribute to the setup and operationalization of the new Global team (with three regional roles in US, Europe and Asia), focusing on US‑specific ways of working.
  • Strategic planning: Jointly lead prioritisation and planning of high‑impact partnerships aligned to our strategic priorities and data generation needs.
  • Partnership leadership: Be a credible and trusted contact working alongside US relationship leads. Working together to align opportunities, facilitate onboarding, and relationship management.
  • Stakeholder collaboration and influence: Embed effective ways of working across US and Global teams to deliver aligned plans and outcomes.
  • Represent GSK: Actively represent GSK with professionalism and expertise at key moments, including leading strategic meetings and events and attending, scientific conferences,
  • Market and competitor intelligence: Maintain a forward-looking, "outside-in" perspective by identifying emerging opportunities, evaluating potential partners, and staying informed on competitor activities – so that GSK remains at the forefront of Oncology advancements.
  • Regulatory and compliance alignment: Ensure compliance with country specific regulatory, ethical and data governance requirements.
  • Operational expertise: Drive project, budget and stakeholder management for partnership initiatives and define and track KPIs and impact metrics.
  • Keep alignment: Provide progress updates and requests for stakeholders.
