The Senior Director, Enterprise Architect aligns technology vision with business strategy by integrating company processes with the appropriate technologies. The Senior Director is also responsible for all aspects of developing, implementing and maintaining technology initiatives within the organization, assuring high performance, consistency, reliability and scalability of all technology offerings. Maintains existing enterprise systems while providing direction in all technology-related issues in support of information operations and core company values. Responsible for ensuring Information Technology (IT) security operations are performed in accordance with all security policies as defined by IT and Valley Health security. Performs capacity planning, IT service level management, configuration management, data center operations as well as disaster recovery, planning and testing. Provides overall support for on campus and off campus LAN/WAN connectivity, VoIP phone system, end-user device engineering and configuration (e.g., desktops, laptops, mobile PCs, BYOD, MDM/MAM, etc.), server systems, storage systems (including backup and recovery operations), backup, and redundancy (i.e., business continuity/high availability) for all technology systems as appropriate. Evaluates and recommends strategies for outsourcing, "cloud sourcing" and hosting opportunities where it makes technical and economic sense for VH. Acts as a backup to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and performs as the CIO's "second" as deemed appropriate by the CIO.
