About The Position

The Senior Director, Enrollment Management, is a highly visible role responsible for establishing and managing strategies to achieve the enrollment management goals of the School of Nursing & Health Sciences. This position reports to the Associate Dean for Finance & Administration and works collaboratively with various University offices, including Admissions, Financial Aid, Human Resources, and Nursing Practice, to advocate for the School’s enrollment management needs. The role oversees the School’s Office of Admissions and Office of Student Services, managing a team of 12 FTEs.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Director of Admissions and develop the School’s overall recruitment strategies for new enrollment.
  • Work closely with senior leadership and program directors on establishing cycle enrollment goals as well as long-term new enrollment targets.
  • Establish post-cycle enrollment reviews and, when appropriate, change strategy to achieve new enrollment goals.
  • Provide strategic guidance to Director of Admissions for enrollment funnel management from inquiry to matriculation.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the SON Admissions Bulletin, including annual updates.
  • Stay current on the admissions regulatory environment and accreditation standards.
  • Supervise Sr. Manager of Student Affairs and develop the School’s overall student engagement strategies.
  • Oversee all program orientation processes, evaluate and initiate/approve changes when necessary.
  • Oversee and responsible for School’s various Student Handbooks, ensuring alignment across programs, reducing School’s risk, and ensuring policies and procedures are reflective of current regulatory requirements and all accreditation standards.
  • Working closely with Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and program directors, establish advising procedures, training, and evaluation.
  • Coordinate with Alumni Affairs Office on growing engagement and readmission rates for SON alumni.
  • Collaborating closely with Associate Dean for Finance and Operations, Dean of School of Nursing & Health Sciences, UR Medicine Chief Nursing Executives, Office of Counsel, HR, Financial Aid, Payroll, and Bursar Office, lead the UR Nursing Scholars program from recruitment to final year of three-year work agreement.
  • Closely monitor program, including general structure and specific loan agreement language, to minimize University risk and maximize system-wide benefits – increased workforce pipelines and reduction in travel RN costs.
  • Partner with Associate Dean for Finance and Operations on promoting program to both internal stakeholders and potential applicants.
  • Coordinate the collection process and analysis of URNS outcome data across both academic and clinical components of program.
  • Key point of contact for central enrollment marketing offices and Medical Center marketing office.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of the School’s enrollment marketing strategy; where necessary, recommend shifts in tactics, spend, and strategic messaging; report to senior leadership on results of marketing campaigns.
  • Partnering with the Associate Dean for Finance and Operations, advise, execute, and evaluate the School’s financial aid strategies for all programs.
  • Manage School’s relationship with University Financial Aid, ensuring nursing & health sciences students are receiving effective financial aid services from the University.
  • Advise senior leadership on changes to federal, state, and other applicable regulations relating to financial aid strategies.
  • Responsible for the effective distribution of the School’s scholarships, including partnering with University Advancement on fund stewardship.
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to Sr. Manager of Student Affairs on new student compliance management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
