About The Position

The Senior Director, Engineering provides strategic guidance and cross-functional coordination for packaging engineering initiatives across ID Logistics’ contract packaging and manufacturing network. Working through Business Development, the role partners with Operations and R&D engineering teams to develop and improve solutions integrating people, equipment, materials, information, and production processes. In partnership with Finance, Quality, and customer teams, the role supports new sales and existing-client growth, new business launches, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen safety, quality, productivity, capacity, and profitability. The position guides engineering teams on network design, packaging processes, engineered standards, costing, project delivery, testing coordination, and continuous improvement. It provides guidance on capital, maintenance, and equipment investments, contributes to investment business cases, and supports site-cost analysis and P&L projections, but does not directly own budgets. Technical development, testing, and validation remain with responsible engineering teams. The position currently has no direct reports and exercises leadership through cross-functional partnership, influence, coaching, and escalation.
