About The Position

The Senior Director of Operations serves as a force multiplier who ensures that the technology organization executes with clarity, alignment, and urgency. Acting as Chief of Staff, this leader drives cross-functional workstreams, translates the CTO's strategic priorities into actionable plans, and holds the organization accountable to outcomes. This is a senior individual contributor and organizational leader role for someone with exceptional operational acumen, executive presence, and a systems-thinking mindset.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in technology strategy, operations, consulting, or program leadership
  • Proven ability to drive large, complex cross-functional initiatives from planning through delivery.
  • Experience in healthcare IT, SaaS, or regulated technology environments strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional executive communication skills — written, verbal, and presentation — with the ability to influence at the C-suite level.
  • Strong analytical mindset; comfortable with data, metrics, powerpoint presentations and building business cases.
  • High EQ and political acumen; skilled at building relationships and navigating organizational dynamics.
  • Familiarity with Agile, OKR frameworks, and enterprise program management practices.
  • Bachelor's degree required

  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CTO to define quarterly and annual priorities; translate strategy into roadmaps and OKRs that the technology organization can execute against.
  • Maintain a master view of all technology workstreams; identify bottlenecks, dependencies, and risks; escalate proactively and remove blockers.
  • Design and lead the CTO's operating rhythm — weekly leadership team meetings, monthly business reviews, quarterly planning cycles, and all-hands meetings.
  • Own cross-functional initiatives that span engineering, product, data, security, and business teams on behalf of the CTO.
  • Prepare executive-level communications including board materials, investor briefings, and internal strategy memos.
  • Act as a trusted proxy for the CTO in internal meetings when appropriate; represent the CTO's perspective with authority and accuracy.
  • Drive continuous improvement of team operating processes, tools, and norms across the technology organization
