About The Position

The Senior Director - Encompassing Center provides clinical leadership and operational oversight for a community-based mental health clinic, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed care while supervising staff, managing partnerships, and directing program development, service delivery, and administrative functions including budgeting, staffing, and billing compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in related field of study
  • 3-5 years relevant clinical experience
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership experience, including supervision of therapists and volunteers
  • Strong skills in trauma-informed care, grief support, and group facilitation
  • Experience managing partnerships with community organizations
  • Ability to lead teams with compassion, accountability, and collaborative problem-solving
  • Prior experience with program administration, including coordination with internal operational teams
  • LCSW/LCPC or equivalent clinical licensure
  • Background check

  • Master's Degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) in related field of study
  • 5+ years clinical experience, including supervision
  • Additional training in trauma-informed practice

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership for the Encompassing Center, a free community-based mental health clinic serving adults and children in North Lawndale, East and West Garfield Park, and Chicago's Near West Side.
  • Ensure high-quality, client-centered, and trauma-informed care.
  • Responsible for all aspects of programming under assigned leadership including service management, expansion and development, and overseeing and refining all quality improvement activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of insurance billing and ensures all delivered services are eligible for reimbursement.
  • Supervise team, including clinicians, community outreach staff and support staff members.
  • Hold regular supervisions and team meetings.
  • Oversee the intake process for individuals seeking counseling.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with community-based partners, ensuring strong collaboration and seamless service delivery.
  • Work closely with the West Side Expanded Mental Health Services Program Governing Commission, with support from Catholic Charities' Vice President for Mothers and Families.
  • Lead planning and execution of client-centered events.
  • Actively participate in strategic planning and identifies trends and opportunities for program development.
  • Directly responsible for overall management of daily operations of assigned teams.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and professionally develop assigned staff.
  • Ensure adequate staffing to meet client needs and volume.
  • Coordinate with Mission Support, Client and Community Impact, and other internal partners to ensure effective day-to-day operations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor all budgets under assigned leadership.
