About The Position

The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for a Senior Director or Director to perform and manage services for the University Athletic Association Business & Finance office. This position requires the incumbent to have strong analytical interpersonal skills; ability to delegate, cultivate teamwork, and develop others; detail-oriented, self-motivated, and independent thinker; work independently and as part of a collaborative team; multitask effectively; engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds; and work a non-standard work week which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position will be filled as a Director or Senior Director, depending on the experience and qualifications of the candidate selected. This posting will remain open until a qualified candidate is chosen.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5 years of progressive accounting, business or financial experience
1 year of supervisory experience

Masters Degree in Accounting or Finance
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
6+ years of progressive accounting, business or financial experience
3+ years of supervisory experience
Proficiency in NetSuite, Workday, and ERP system implementation

Responsibilities

Overseeing the monthly, quarterly, and annual UAA required financial statements and reporting
Preparing quarterly and annual financial statements in conformity with regulatory requirements, NCAA compliance, and accounting principles
Leading the preparation and supporting documentation for annual audits, agreed-upon procedures, and tax returns
Overseeing accounts receivables, student athlete disbursements, payroll, and general ledger management
