About The Position

This role is for a leader who is actively shaping the AI-driven digital marketing landscape. As the Senior Director of Digital Marketing, you will be responsible for AvePoint's entire digital presence and performance, from AI-driven discovery to website conversion. You will lead strategies in SEO/GEO, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), paid media, and web conversion, building an AI-powered digital organization that remains at the forefront of the industry.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of B2B digital marketing experience.
  • At least 3 years in a senior leadership role owning paid media, SEO, and web.
  • Demonstrated expertise in AEO and GEO, with experience tracking and optimizing for AI-generated answer surfaces.
  • Deep hands-on experience with GA4, paid search/social platforms (Google Ads, LinkedIn), SEO tooling (Ahrefs, SEMrush), and marketing automation (Marketo preferred).
  • Proven ability to connect digital spend to pipeline outcomes, understanding attribution and working with RevOps.
  • Experience scaling AI tooling across a team, including building processes, workflows, and capability frameworks.
  • Strong analytical instincts: ability to read data, form hypotheses, test them, and deliver results.
  • Executive-ready communication skills, capable of translating digital performance into business impact for ELT and board audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in B2B SaaS, security, or data governance.
  • Experience with ABM platforms like 6sense or intent data tools (Bombora, Clearbit Reveal).
  • Exposure to Dynamics 365 and Marketo in a pipeline-reporting context.
  • Comfort operating in a global organization with regional go-to-market nuances (AMER, EMEA, ANZ).
  • Active participant in digital marketing communities, newsletters, or public thought leadership on AI-driven marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead AvePoint's strategy for AI-driven search visibility across platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Claude, Gemini, and emerging LLM platforms.
  • Build AEO accountability frameworks, including benchmark tracking, citation monitoring, share-of-voice in AI-generated answers, and input/output OKRs.
  • Partner with Brand, Demand Gen, and AR teams to increase AvePoint's citation frequency in AI answer surfaces through content and structural strategies.
  • Anticipate and strategize for platform changes (structured data, semantic search, agent-based browsing) 6-12 months in advance.
  • Own organic search strategy across the full funnel, including technical SEO aspects like site architecture, Core Web Vitals, crawlability, schema markup, and content velocity.
  • Build AI-assisted content workflows to accelerate topical authority while maintaining quality and E-E-A-T signals.
  • Establish and track SEO/GEO channel benchmarks for impressions, clicks, and campaign members within the marketing funnel measurement model.
  • Oversee paid media investments across Google, LinkedIn, display, and programmatic channels, with accountability for MQL volume, cost per MQL, and SAL conversion rates.
  • Deploy AI-native campaign management, including automated bidding, large-scale creative testing, predictive audience modeling, and intent signal integration.
  • Partner with RevOps and Analytics to connect paid spend to pipeline attribution.
  • Manage paid media budgets rigorously, optimizing channel mix across regions and product categories.
  • Own the AvePoint website as a revenue-generating asset, focusing on information architecture, UX, messaging, and conversion performance.
  • Lead CRO programs, including A/B testing, personalization, and conversion path optimization, using GA4 and pipeline as key metrics.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Brand, and Demand Gen on website journeys, design consistency, and landing page performance.
  • Evaluate and integrate AI tools for dynamic content, intelligent chat, and web personalization to enhance engagement and self-service pipeline creation.
  • Model and enforce AI proficiency standards within the Digital Marketing team, aiming for specific proficiency levels and AI agent deployment.
  • Identify, pilot, and scale AI tools across all digital functions, including content generation, keyword research, ad creative testing, reporting automation, and audience intelligence.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and experimentation, documenting best practices and sharing knowledge across the growth marketing organization.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on AI-driven digital marketing, educating stakeholders on implications and opportunities.
