About The Position

JLL is seeking a Lead, Project & Development Services to support a major technology client in the Bay Area. This high-impact role will oversee capital project delivery for a portfolio exceeding $150M annually, leading strategic program execution and managing operational excellence across a team of 200+ employees. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to the client, ensuring best-in-class delivery while fostering collaboration across diverse project teams in a hybrid working environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 8–12 years of progressive experience in project and development services, construction management, or program management within commercial real estate, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
  • Proven track record managing large-scale capital programs ($100M+) with demonstrated success delivering complex projects on time and within budget
  • Significant experience supporting technology sector clients or managing mission-critical facilities including data centers, labs, corporate offices, or advanced manufacturing environments
  • Deep understanding of project delivery methodologies, risk management, budgeting and forecasting, procurement strategies, and construction processes
  • Proficiency in project management tools and technologies including scheduling software, budgeting platforms, and reporting systems
  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities with experience building, developing, and retaining high-performing teams of 50+ employees
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills with ability to engage effectively with C-suite executives and senior stakeholders
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with ability to distill complex information for diverse audiences
  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Hybrid working model with regular client site presence required.

  • Curiosity and willingness to explore how generative AI, computer vision, and other emerging technologies can enhance project delivery, quality control, and client value
  • Candidates who can demonstrate how they've used or plan to integrate AI capabilities into project delivery, team enablement, or strategic planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end project delivery for a large-scale technology client portfolio, managing capital spend exceeding $150M across multiple concurrent projects and programs. Provide strategic oversight and hands-on leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Lead and develop a team of 200+ professionals including project managers, engineers, coordinators, and support staff. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement while empowering team members to thrive and advance their careers.
  • Serve as the primary client interface and strategic advisor, building deep relationships with executive stakeholders. Understand evolving business needs and translate them into actionable project strategies that align with organizational objectives.
  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks, project controls, and reporting mechanisms that provide transparency into portfolio performance. Implement standardized processes and best practices to drive operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Partner with internal JLL service lines including Brokerage, Facility Management, and Sustainability to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Collaborate with external partners including architects, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative delivery methods relevant to technology sector real estate. Position JLL as a thought leader by bringing forward-thinking solutions that enhance client value.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements across all project activities.
