About The Position

The Senior Director, Data & Digital Product Architecture is responsible for designing and industrializing the enterprise’s data and digital product solutions — turning bespoke, one-off work into reusable, production-ready assets built on a centralized, enterprise-agnostic Silver model. This role leads Data Architecture as part of its umbrella, owning the enterprise solution architecture that binds data and digital product capabilities together and weaving AI and automation across modeling and solutioning to compress the modeling cycle that has historically slowed the path to production. The Senior Director directs the design of the scalable, enterprise-agnostic data model and partners closely with Data Engineering, Data Analysis & Products, Digital Product, and Analytics teams to architect reusable solutions and refactor raw work onto governed, shared sources. This role is a critical counterpart to the Data Engineering pillar of the DataOps team. The role provides hands-on leadership across data architecture, solution design, AI-accelerated modeling, product integration, and automation so that architectural intent and engineering investment result in reusable, adopted, and scalable data and digital product assets.

Requirements

  • Senior leadership experience in data architecture, solution architecture, data modeling, data/analytics solution delivery, automation, or applied AI within an enterprise data environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a data architecture function and designing scalable, enterprise-agnostic data models.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and industrializing bespoke or prototype solutions into reusable, production-ready assets.
  • Strong knowledge of medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold), reusable modeling, and enterprise-agnostic data design.
  • Hands-on understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated code evaluation, and controlled promotion to production.
  • Proven ability to apply AI and automation to accelerate modeling, integration, and solutioning while preserving quality and governance.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and change leadership skills; experience in complex, regulated enterprises preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Data Architecture function, owning the design of the scalable, flexible, enterprise-agnostic data model that underpins the enterprise medallion architecture.
  • Set architectural direction, standards, and reference models that Data Engineering and Analysis teams build against.
  • Direct the ingestion, structuring, and layering strategy in partnership with IT and Data Engineering to ensure a durable, reusable foundation.
  • Own the end-to-end solution architecture that connects data and digital product capabilities to the centralized, enterprise-agnostic medallion architecture models.
  • Design reusable, scalable solution blueprints and reference patterns aligned to the enterprise medallion architecture rather than siloed, point builds.
  • Translate architectural intent into buildable, production-ready solution designs that engineering and product teams can execute against.
  • Weave AI and automation across modeling and solutioning to compress modeling time — the historic inhibitor to reaching production.
  • Refactor raw, bespoke solutions onto the centralized, agnostic Silver layer so value is captured once and reused many times.
  • Establish repeatable patterns and accelerators that turn learning-stage work into durable, production-ready assets.
  • Integrate data and digital product solutions onto shared, reusable sources, ensuring alignment with the enterprise medallion model rather than siloed builds.
  • Partner with Digital Product and Analytics teams to embed automation and AI into product workflows where combined capabilities produce stronger outcomes.
  • Ensure integrated solutions are designed for reuse across multiple use cases, not bespoke consumption.
  • Centralize AI-assisted modeling patterns, templates, and reusable components so every asset compounds the value of the next.
  • Establish standards for how data architecture, solution design, AI, and automation are applied across engineering and solutioning to ensure consistency and scale.
  • Enable Data Engineering and Analysis teams to adopt architectural patterns and automation accelerators effectively within their workflows.
