About The Position

The Senior Director, Data, Analytics & AI will lead the development and execution of the company’s enterprise data strategy, driving innovation and operational excellence across all aspects of the business. This role will transform how data is leveraged across estimating, project management, field operations, safety, and financial performance. As a strategic leader, you will build scalable data infrastructure, advance analytics capabilities, and deploy AI-driven solutions that improve decision-making, enhance productivity, and support sustained growth in a fast-paced electrical construction environment.

Requirements

  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to align data initiatives to business outcomes in a construction environment.
  • Deep understanding of data architecture, analytics, and AI/ML technologies.
  • Ability to influence and drive change across both corporate and field-based teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, business-focused insights.
  • Proven experience building and scaling data and analytics functions.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including team development and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Results-driven approach with a focus on measurable business impact.
  • 10–15+ years of experience in data, analytics, business intelligence, or digital transformation roles.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing high-performing technical teams.
  • Demonstrated success implementing enterprise data platforms and analytics solutions.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Engineering, Business, or a related field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, engineering, electrical contracting, or industrial services strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction and project management systems (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint, Primavera, Trimble) is a plus.
  • Master’s preferred

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the enterprise data, analytics, and AI strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify high-value opportunities to improve project margins, forecasting accuracy, labor productivity, and safety outcomes.
  • Lead the design and implementation of modern data architecture, including data warehousing/lakehouse solutions and governance frameworks.
  • Oversee the development of business intelligence dashboards and reporting across project performance, financials, operations, and workforce metrics.
  • Drive adoption of advanced analytics and AI solutions, including predictive modeling, forecasting, and generative AI use cases.
  • Collaborate with operations, preconstruction, finance, HR, and safety teams to embed data-driven decision-making into daily workflows.
  • Establish data governance practices to ensure data quality, security, compliance, and consistency across systems.
  • Build, lead, and mentor high-performing teams across data engineering, BI, and data science.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage technology platforms and vendors (e.g., ERP systems, project management tools, cloud platforms).
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership and translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations.
