About The Position

Life360 is seeking a Senior Director to lead its Corporate Finance function. This role is responsible for the enterprise planning cadence, consolidated reporting, and board-level financial materials. The Senior Director will ensure the CFO, executive team, and board have accurate data, clear analysis, and well-structured materials for decision-making. This is a player-coach role that involves leading a team, owning processes, and actively participating in the work. The position will manage two direct reports initially, with potential for team growth. The role requires a willingness to adopt and utilize AI tools for enhanced efficiency. The US-based salary range is $194k to $285k, with compensation influenced by factors like location, knowledge, skills, and experience. Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in corporate FP&A or finance with progressive leadership responsibility.
  • Experience leading planning cycles, consolidated reporting, and board-level materials at a public company.
  • Player-coach mentality with a willingness to roll up sleeves.
  • Experience driving a Long-Range Planning or multi-year planning process, including cross-team coordination and executive facilitation.
  • Familiarity with enterprise planning platforms (Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive, Planful, or similar) and business ownership of a model.
  • Experience driving investor relations materials, earnings presentations, and board packs, coordinating across multiple teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to senior leadership.
  • Experience managing a small, high-performing team.
  • Collaborative, low-ego working style with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Curiosity about AI and willingness to use tools like Claude or ChatGPT.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience using AI tools in a professional finance context.
  • Experience with Pigment specifically, including implementation or model build.
  • A track record of improving FP&A processes through systems, automation, or design.
  • Experience from a consumer technology, subscription, or SaaS company with multiple revenue streams (subscriptions, advertising, devices).

Responsibilities

  • Drive the Long-Range Planning process, including setting timelines, consolidating inputs, building the enterprise view, and leading discussions with leadership.
  • Own the annual operating plan and monthly reforecast processes, coordinating inputs from various business finance leads.
  • Manage the handover from LRP to the annual plan, ensuring alignment across teams.
  • Own the planning calendar and establish reporting standards, definitions, and timelines for the function.
  • Lead the monthly management reporting cycle, including consolidation, variance analysis, and executive narratives.
  • Own reporting templates and processes for enterprise-wide and cross-vertical views used by the CFO and executive team.
  • Provide corporate-level analysis of headcount, expenses, and revenue.
  • Own the production of board packs and earnings materials, including slides, data schedules, KPI exhibits, and supporting analyses.
  • Act as the key driver for investor relations materials within FP&A, coordinating across multiple departments.
  • Own dual-listing reporting for US (Nasdaq) and ASX.
  • Own Pigment as the enterprise planning and consolidation platform, including model architecture and configuration.
  • Partner with Finance Data & Systems on integrations and technical infrastructure.
  • Continuously seek improvements in Corporate Finance processes, AI tool usage, and collaboration.
  • Lead and develop the Corporate Finance team, setting standards for rigor, discipline, and communication.
  • Build a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Become a trusted partner to the VP, Finance and the CFO.
