About The Position

This role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and negotiating acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, joint ventures, and start-ups in current and new business areas. The position also involves managing the assessment and valuation of new business opportunities and leading a team of managers. The Senior Director will lead all aspects of transaction execution, including project management, due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and documentation. They will collaborate with business teams, internal functional experts (legal, accounting, tax, etc.), and external advisors. A key part of the role is shaping M&A strategy and opportunity identification, assessing and prioritizing transactions that align with corporate strategy and growth objectives. The role requires drawing conclusions from various sources to make recommendations for inorganic growth initiatives and supporting post-acquisition integration by ensuring cross-functional teams execute integration plans. The Senior Director will also create and present high-quality presentation materials to senior leaders and decision-makers, and build a high-performing Corporate Development team by recruiting, developing talent, and guiding managers.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in an investment bank, private equity, venture capital or corporate development group.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with aggressive timelines.
  • The ability to effectively plan, prioritize, execute and follow-up in a timely manner and anticipate problems and roadblocks.
  • Consumer industry experience preferred.
  • Effective in leading, influencing, motivating and achieving goals through formal and informal channels.
  • Flexibility to manage projects across time zones and adapt certain approaches to different cultures and working styles.
  • Comfortable performing in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing internal and external resources.
  • Willingness to challenge assumptions and the status quo to help establish best practices and leading M&A capabilities as a team.
  • Integrity and sound judgement in all decisions and interactions aligned with our values, policies and external regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of transaction execution including project management, due diligence and valuation, negotiation, documentation.
  • Work closely with business teams, internal functional experts (e.g. legal, accounting, tax, etc.), and outside advisors to support execution.
